The winner of the 2nd Mango Fashion Awards Lee Jean Youn, has designed a limited edition capsule collection for the brand: Lee Jean for Mango

The collection just launched and embodies a blend of simplicity and romance, combining traditional elements of the Orient with a hint of European rock chic. It is made up of 11 pieces that include tailoring, evening dresses, washed silk trousers, and a couple of key accessories.

The capsule collection is extremely bold, with pure lines and in search of the balance and simplicity proper of the Asian designer.

The key garments are without any doubt his shirts. With easily recognizable details such as Mao necks or minimalist sleeves, his palette ranges from black to white, including the seasonal hit –maquillage – and a wide plethora of grayish and stone tones. Glass beads, Swaroski crystals and little embroidery applications in cuff-links and laces make the rest of this coveted and limited collection. Prices are fairly affordable, from 40 to 100 euros the most of statement pieces.

Lee Jean Youn won the Mango Fashion Awards last year, winning a prize of 300,000 Euros, which is the largest prize to date for a competition like this. The third edition of the awards has just launched, with the 10 finalists to be announced.
