To celebrate the V&A exhibition, Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes,1909–1929, Fashion designer Erdem has designed a silk scarf incorporating original costume designs by Léon Bakst for the ballet Narcisse in 1911.

Made in silk, this vibrant scarf resembles the softness and rhythm from the stylish Russian Ballet Companies from the XIX Century. Bakst’s sensational costumes, with their bold, beautiful designs, are complemented perfectly by Erdem’s love of vibrant color and his mastery of print.

The Narcisse Scarf is priced £185 and is available exclusively from the V&A Shop from September. Almost a metre square, the design is a flourish of rippling movement and color, incorporating original costume designs by Léon Bakst for the ballets Narcisse(191), The Firebird (1911) and La Peri (1915).
